Concord & 9th & a Shaker

Hello again everyone... 

Today I want to share one of my recent buys by Concord & 9th. Who are a relatively new company, I was going to make an order from their site but then saw that Make the Day Special Stamp Store was soon to be getting some (yay), I waited and put in an order for the Eat Cake & Celebrate stamp set and the coordinating die set as soon as I could. I adore the set and plan to get some more.

I have been wanting to make a shaker card for a while and thought this would be a good time to try the new set at the same time.

I stamped the large cake, the cupcake and the star (multiple times) on to some Crafter's Companion Watercolour card in Versamark Onyx Black, then water coloured them in a variety of different Distress Ink colours.

I die cut the polaroid from the same card as the base card for the top polaroid, but to create the depth I cut it from some plain white card stock so I had about 10 die cuts. 

For the shaker elements I added some confetti, in silver, bright pink, light pink and light green and some of the stamped stars and the cupcake, as well as some silver and clear sequins, I also adhered some of these down.

 

The 'Happy Birthday' is stamped in Mama Elephant Rainwater colour and once it was dry I gave it a coat of clear Wink of Stella. 

The garlands are from the Mama Elephant Party Kit, I prepped some vellum as I thought this would soften the garland and not distract from the cake. They were heat embossed the stamped image using the Mama Elephant Moonlight ink pad. I then water coloured these with Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feather Distress Ink.

Combining two stamps from the set I stamped 'Sounds like time to celebrate' on the inside in Versamark Onyx Black.

I can't wait to use this set on some other projects and see what else Concord & 9th produce in the future.
