Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a great weekend, the weather has been pretty grey and wet where I am, so I tried to inject some shine in to it while in the craft room.
Today I want to share with you my entry to a few challenges and it all started with the Make the Day Special November Challenge.
I this is my first sketch challenge... So I would appreciate your comments. Below is the sketch provided by MTDS.
And here is my design, I have also entered these to a few others which are listed at the end of the post.
I used the Waffle Flower circle doily die to do a faux letterpress imprint on the background (very much inspired by the amazingly talented Jennifer McGuire). I also water coloured some watercolour cardstock with Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed Distress Ink and some homemade gold shimmer spray, then die cut the doily.
When I die cut the medium tag from the Sizzix framelit set for the tag element, I stretched the die cut to get a longer tag.
I Heat embossed Merry Christmas on to some acetate and vellum, cut those in to banners and attached them using a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, I coloured the staples first with a Krylon Gold leafing pen.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon...
Interested in the products I use? I have listed them below to make them easy for you to find, the links are just links (I am not affiliated with the shops).
I do shop at these places occasionally but I urge you to shop around for a good deal.
