Hello everyone,
Quick post this week on a new job card I have made for a friend who is starting a new job, inspired by the post by Karen Baker Happy (Escape) New Job) I really liked the caption.
I used the word 'congrats' on the outside and 'you escaped' on the inside for a bit of interest.
I used three layers of the Lawn Fawn Scripty Congrats die out of a silver glitter paper, black cardstock and a plum cardstock from the Papermania Capsule solid cardstock.
The speech bubbles are from the Sizzix/Craft Asylum Speech Bubbles thinlits die set and cut from Crafters Companion watercolour card after I used Distress Inks to colour the paper, I wanted to mute the colours on the speech bubbles more as I thought they were fighting with the 'congrats' die cut so used some vellum over the top.
The word 'you' was typed on a Dymo Omega embossing label maker, which I cut some ribbon ends in to and applied straight to the card.
I love Wink of Stella, who doesn't, look at that sparkle.
I like the white on white and the raised layering, but used more clear Wink of Stella on the base card for some extra shine, and glued on some sequins and VoilĂ simple and quick to make.
If you remember the DIY Smash book I made for the Make the Day Special October Challenge - anything but a card, well I was a runner up, not bad for my first entry to a card/paper crafting challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.
Absolutely fabulous design and lovely pretty colours.
